APPRAISAL INSTITUTE GRANTS KENNETH ALFORD MAI DESIGNATION
Omaha, Neb. (August 10, 2009) -- Mitchell & Associates Real Estate Appraisers and Consultants announces Kenneth Alford as a MAI designated member of the Appraisal Institute.
Appraisers that hold the MAI membership designation are experienced in the valuation and evaluation of commercial, industrial, residential and other types of properties, and who advise clients on real estate investment decisions. Alford received his MAI designation after years of rigorous appraisal education, comprehensive examinations, extensive peer review and adherence to the code of conduct of the Appraisal Institute.

A Certified General Real Property Appraiser, Alford has been with Mitchell & Associates since 2006, joining the firm with a twenty-year background in small business management and ownership in the real estate and petroleum distribution fields. His real estate appraisal experience covers a wide variety of property types including office, retail, industrial, multi-family residential, and development land, as well as a variety of appraisal scenarios including subdivision analysis, Ad Valorem appraisal, and appraisal for condemnation.
Alford is a MAI designated member of the Appraisal Institute, a board member of the Nebraska Chapter of the Appraisal Institute, and a member of the Omaha Board of Realtors. He holds a B.A. in Economics from Wheaton College and received his appraisal education from the Appraisal Institute.
